punishment of their iniquity;
44 Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not
reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my
covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God;

Yahweh will scatter you among the peoples, and you shall be left few in
number among the nations, where Yahweh shall lead you away.

and Yahweh rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great
indignation, and cast them into another land, as at this day.

1 It shall happen, when all these things are come on you, the blessing and the
curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all
the nations, where Yahweh your God has driven you,
3 that then Yahweh your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion on

1Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says
Yahweh.
2 Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed
my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not
visited them; behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh.
3 I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have
driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be
fruitful and multiply.
8 but, As Yahweh lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of
Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries where I had driven
them. They shall dwell in their own land.

5 Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so will I regard
the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the
Chaldeans, for good.
9 I will even give them up to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of
the earth for evil; to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all
places where I shall drive them.

14 I will be found by you, says Yahweh, and I will turn again your captivity,
and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have
driven you, says Yahweh; and I will bring you again to the place from where I
caused you to be carried away captive.
18 I will pursue after them with the sword, with the famine, and with the
pestilence, and will deliver them to be tossed back and forth among all the
kingdoms of the earth, to be an object of horror, and an astonishment, and a
hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations where I have driven them;

3 For, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will turn again the captivity
of my people Israel and Judah, says Yahweh; and I will cause them to return to
the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
10 Therefore don’t you be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says Yahweh; neither be
dismayed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the
land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease,
and none shall make him afraid.
11 For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you: for I will make a full end of
all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of
you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.
18 Thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob’s
tents,
and have compassion on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on its
own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited after its own manner.

10 Hear the word of Yahweh, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off;
and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does
his flock.
23 Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this
speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring again their
captivity: Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.
28 It shall happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to
break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over
them to build and to plant, says Yahweh.

Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, where I have driven them in
my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again
to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

Therefore thus says Yahweh: you have not listened to me, to proclaim liberty,
every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim to
you a liberty, says Yahweh, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine;
and I will make you to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the
earth.

But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the
remnant of Judah, who were returned from all the nations where they had been
driven, to sojourn in the land of Judah;

for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their
captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none

for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you; but I
will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in measure, and will in

Israel is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of
Assyria devoured him; and now at last Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken
his bones.

22 The punishment of your iniquity is accomplished, daughter of Zion; he will no
more carry you away into captivity:

Now it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day
of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens
were opened, and I saw visions of God.

11 Go, get you to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and
speak to them, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh; whether they will hear,

15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel Aviv, that lived by the river

Yahweh said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean,
among the nations where I will drive them.

10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of you, and the sons
shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments on you; and the whole
remnant of you will I scatter to all the winds.
12 A third part of you shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they

16 Therefore say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Whereas I have removed them far off
among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet
will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are
come.
17 Therefore say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will gather you from the
peoples,
and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will
give you the land of Israel.

3 Therefore, you son of man, prepare you stuff for removing, and remove by day
in their sight; and you shall remove from your place to another place in their
sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.
4 You shall bring forth your stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing;
and you shall go forth yourself at even in their sight, as when men go forth
into exile.
7 I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for
removing, and in the even I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought it
forth in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight.
11 Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they
shall go into exile, into captivity.
14 I will scatter toward every wind all who are around him to help him, and all
his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.
15 They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall disperse them among the

10 From beyond the rivers of Cush, my worshipers, even the daughter of my
dispersed people, will bring my offering.
19 Behold, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you, and I will
save those who are lame, and gather those who were driven away. I will give them
praise and honor, whose shame has been in all the earth.
20 At that time will I bring you in, and at that time will I gather you; for I
will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I bring
back your captivity before your eyes, says Yahweh.

He answered me, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and
Jerusalem.”

He said, “These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up
his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the
nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky,’ says Yahweh.

where they have come from Babylon.

of God!”

the Cyrenians, of the Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and Asia arose,
disputing with Stephen.
