Geographic Border Locations:

Brook of Egypt

Sometimes translated as the "River of Egypt", it separated the land of Egypt from the land of Canaan.  Today the Brook of Egypt is called the Wadi el-Arish.  A Wadi is a stream bed that is sometimes dry and sometimes has water flowing through it, depending on the amount of rain in the area at any given time.  The Wadi el-Arish is southwest of Gaza.  The modern Egyptian city Al Arish sits just west of where the Wadi empties into the Mediterranean Sea.
