Geographic Border Locations:

Hazar Enan

    Hazar means "village" and Enan means "fountains". Hazar Enan was in the northeast border of The Promised Land, usually identified with Kuryetein/Kyratein/Qaryatayn, Syria, about 60 miles NE of Damascus.

9 and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazar Enan: this shall be your north border.
10 “‘You shall mark out your east border from Hazar Enan to Shepham;

The border from the sea, shall be Hazar Enan at the border of Damascus; and on the north northward is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.

Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar Enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath, (and they shall have their sides east and west), Dan, one portion.
